The Vauxhall Astra GTE arrived in 1983 as a superior version of the SR model with the more aggressive style and superior performance. This model is equipped with 14 inch alloy wheels, glass sunshine roof with interior sliding blind, electrically operated windows and door mirrors which have body coloured cowls, the digital dash, lockable glove box, rear boot spoiler, front fog lights and radio/cassette. There are 32 parts / service invoices with the service record, 17 MOT certificates and 10 tax discs. This now difficult to obtain classic car is becoming increasingly more difficult to obtain and in 2001 there were 5,300 cars registered with the DVLA but in 2018 this number had fallen to just under a 120.
