Phil Presswood Specialist Cars is delighted to present this stunning 2 owner E21 BMW from the early 80's. This 35 year old BMW is in excellent condition and still retains the smell that you would expect from a nearly new BMW of this period. Something that cannot be recreated with new materials and restoration.
This particular E21 BMW was supplied new to the RT Hon Viscountess Lady Maitland on the 24th March 1982.
The BMW was then serviced regularly by the supplying dealer during her 20 year ownership until she passed away in the late 90's. At this time the car had covered just 32,200 miles on the last recorded invoice to Lady Maitland.
There is a copy of the newspaper advert in the history file showing the BMW was advertised for sale in November 1999 and was then sold to The last registered keeper Mr S Granton.
The car was last serviced by BMW in Edinbourough 38,564 miles on the 25th January 2016. The cambelt was also changed at this time. The most recent MoT was also a pass with no advisory information noted.
This very rare straight 6 cylinder BMW is not totally immaculate, however, the bodywork and interior are excellent and is mechanically well maintained with 15 MoT's in the history file dating back to 1999 when it had covered just 32,226 miles.
Original service book and hand books are complete with the dealer book pack along with the original V5 document and extensive history file with numerous invoices. There are also some original service sheets and the original pre delivery inspection sheet showing the car was delivered from Germany with 6 miles recorded.
